As quantity surveyors (also known as a construction economists or cost managers), MDA work as professional cost consultants on all projects in which construction works are being carried out.

MDA manages the construction costs of a project from feasibility stage through to completion. Rigorous cost planning during design development enables the project to be designed within budget whilst post contract administration ensures the client's interests are safe guarded during the construction period.

When construction is complete MDA can produce depreciation schedules of the various project components and advise on realistic insurance replacement costs and where applicable, sinking fund schedules.
